Free webcasts, podcasts, webinars and other new forms of scientific communication

New forms of communication are evolving at an ever accelerating pace. At the same time, travel is becoming increasingly costly in terms of money, time and effort. It is, therefore, not suprising that a number of initiatives are appearing whereby the Internet is serving as a new communication vector between scientists and clinicians. Traditional scientific congresses will continue to exist for some time yet but it is becoming clear that face-to-face contact and lectures no longer have the monopoly.
This is a field that is exploding and we cannot hope to give an exhaustive coverage. We will include in this section examples of different webcasts, podcasts, webposiums... that we have found. Psychiatry is not the most advanced discipline in this area but below are already several interesting initiatives that we will feature here.

If you are involved with a similar project or if you have found something you would like to share with your colleagues please let us know.
